Hole Eleven    (est. ) 255/145  Par 3   Taken during construction

Due to changes in the community, the original sixth and seventh holes were eliminated and replaced with the new holes eleven and twelve inserted in between the par five eighth and par 4 ninth. That's why the tenth and thirteenth green and tee are so close together.  The land from theoriginal two hoels removed were turned into building lots and adds only a short walk to the routing and the two new holes fit in well.  While I did not get to play them they were interesting to explore. The new par three seems to be well over two hundred yards and has a pond on the right of the green. The green itself is rather large and somewhat open in front.

View from the tee, large bunker seen below is to the right of the large green and an opening to the front of the green is pinched slightly by the water.

Twelfth Hole     390/325    Par 4

This is a Bottle Hole with a higher, more direct and more narrow right fairway with a lower more awkward and less direct left fairway.  The green is longish and narrow making the approach from the left fairway more challenging.  Really Classic stuff, right out of Macdonald, Banks and Raynor. I thought this hole might play in the mid to upper 300 yard range.  The classic American prototype of this hole is at the National Golf Links of America, the eighth hole (That hole had its angle changed when lengthened from Charlie's original design). There is a narrow portion of fairway leading to the green on a direct line here with an easier to hit left fairway yielding a flat lie perhaps, but a very shallow target.

No photos of the green as this area was rather wet and I did not want to go and damage any turf. This will however be a very interesting and fun hole that I look forward to visiting on my return. It has all of the elements in all of the right places to be a great hole.
